When: Registration opens today and closes August 14th. The season is five weeks with the first games on September 6th.

The 2023 Fall Ball season runs from September 6th thru October 8th and is VLL’s version of Little League’s Training & Development Program, a slightly less competitive version of our spring / summer season that focuses on providing players an opportunity to improve their skills playing a variety of positions. This league is focused on the transition from machine pitch to kid pitch, players that have one year of kid pitch but want more practice.
There is no skills session or league draft for Fall Ball. Instead, Fall Ball teams are formed by the fall league committee using spring draft information and player evaluations completed by coaches to distribute players evenly to create balanced teams and a competitive league.
The last day to register with the guarantee of a roster spot on a team is August 14th. This league will fill up. We have limited field space in the fall, so be sure to register by the deadline!
All games will be played Wednesday and Sunday.
The Fee for the fall season will be $75.00 for players that reside in the Verona Area School District boundary, and $100 for non-residents.
The league uses 2023 minor’s rules with slight modifications for training and development.
To keep the game moving, there are no walks. After the 4th ball of the at bat we will switch to coach pitch for the remainder of that at bat. This may fluctuate slightly as the season moves along and we see how kid pitch is going. The goal is to keep the games moving. Once teams have been selected, the Fall League Committee will be reaching out for volunteer coaches. This is only successful if we have enough volunteers.
