For the 2023 season Verona Little League (VLL) has implemented the following fee structure:
All leagues Rookies, Minors and Majors, Intermediate and Juniors— $275. This includes a $25 VLL concessions voucher.
In addition, VLL only requires the first two players in an immediate family to pay the registration fee. The third and subsequent players are free of charge.
Verona Little League is a volunteer organization, which requires the participation of its members’ families to ensure its success and future sustainability. All families are required to complete four hours of volunteering per player (maximum of eight hours per family) during the VLL regular season. More hours may be required for players participating in extended or tournament season.
Verona Little League does offer partial and full scholarships to a limited number of families each year based on the approved annual budget. If you are interested in exploring scholarship opportunities, please contact the VLL president at vllpresident@gmail.com to discuss further.
1. What nights will each division play?:
Due to field availability, rain outs and reschedules we can't guarantee that you'll always play on a specific night, but in general we try to schedule set nights for each age group. Games will start at 5pm or later.
2. What equipment does each player need for the season?
3. What happens if I sign my kindergartner up, but you determine he isn't ready yet?
Kindergartners are welcome to sign up and come to our assessments on March 5th. We will evaluate the player against his peers and if we determined that it wasn't a good fit for this season, we would reach out to the family and provide a refund. We want everyone to play and have a wonderful experience, but if we don't feel it's safe to do so, we'll let the family know.
4. When does the season start? When can we expect to hear from our coach, when does the season end?
The player drafts are March 28th and March 29th- so you can expect to hear from your coach shortly after that. Your first practice will likely be scheduled within a week of hearing from your coach. Expect your coach to communicate to you the practice and game schedule then.
The first games of the season will be played on May 6th - Opening Day. All teams are scheduled to play that day as well as have their team photo taken. The season will end for all teams no later than July 21 - it all depends how your team does during the end of season tournament.
5. When registering, what grade year do I indicate for my child? Put the current grade year your child is in this year.
